My main research interest is to quantify cell biology through whole-cell models. I am a visiting student from Icahn School of Medicine where, in the lab of Dr. Jonathan Karr, I have been developing Datanator – an integrated database, search engine, and web interface for data for modeling. In the Serrano lab, I am modeling cell division in Mycoplasma pneumoniae with the goal of eventually incorporating this into a whole-cell model. In parallel, I am developing methods in Datanator to help users upload private data and, using these methods, I am connecting DBS-Pipes (the private Serrano-lab database) with Datanator.
