I am a postdoc at Serrano’s lab and my research interest is the local immune-modulation in lung diseases such as cancer. Mycoplasma pneumoniae has been deeply characterized in the lab by System Biology analysis, which laid foundations for it use in synthetic biology. More specifically, the main aim of the projects I am involved in is to employ Mycoplasma pneumoniae as a biological vector to deliver these particularly relevant molecules in situ and promote the most convenient immune response.
